The Dance

The Dance
The wind blows cold at the window,
It rattles & rushes through the trees,
I lay listening,
Listening to the rain & wind dance,
Dance to a song only they can hear,
I begin to let myself go & begin to imagine,
Imagine that we are the wind & the rain,
And the song we dance to is ours,
We hold each other so close so naturally,
As we dance around the room,
We glide across the floor,
Our feet barely touching the ground,
We dance as if we have danced together a lifetime,
Our bodies moving completely in-sync,
Nothing exists except us, our song & the dance we have begun,
That dance is the dance of life,
We shall dance forevermore.
